Meet Helena

Helena Golden is an Irish artisan basket maker based in county Leitrim. Her love for the traditional craft of willow weaving was born in Leitrim , located close to Carrick on Shannon, along the banks of the Shannon Blueway and within a short drive of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and the Wild Atlantic Way.  Helena draws inspiration for her work from her idyllic Leitrim roots. 

Helena creates traditional hand woven baskets and unique home-ware items using sustainably grown willow. She delivers workshops in basket making and weaving throughout Ireland. Helena is passionate about making the magic of weaving of weaving accessible to everyone and sharing the history and tradition of this beautiful Irish Heritage Craft. Her work has been featured on shows such as DIY SOS and the Late Late Toy Show.
